Jessica, a friend of Lori Steinshower, shows off a horny toad lizard she found in the sandy grounds. She later released the lizard just several yards away to a safer location.

Jessica is one of many young and up coming field trialiers. She owns a bird dog out of Champion Redrock Shadow and is about to get another Pointer.

The last brace of the derby paired Jim Fenny's Pointer, Blackie and Rich Robertson. Clyde Queen is ready to release Blackie while Andrew (in white) is set to go.

Judge Rick Furney and others relax while waiting for the dog truck to pick up and deliver the next brace of dogs.

Jim Fenny scouted for his son, Andrew. Upon release, Blackie ran up and hunted a steep hill. While Andrew maintained the course, Jim rode to find Blackie and soon the Pointer was coming down the hill heading out to the front.

Rich Robertson is on foot looking to flush out a bird. Clyde, wearing a blue jacket, and another rider stay back as not to get in the way.
