| Torben Hansen did not run a derby but rode to enjoy the
country, people and watch nice young dogs work. Torben's
Dad worked the dog truck and was indespensible around camp.
|
|

| This area is relatively flat, however, there are long
draws that may conceal a bird dog from view. One moment
a bird dog is seen and several minutes later the dog is
no where to be found. |
|
|

| Mike McGinnis ride toward the foot hills, watching his
dog work the cover. All-Age derby dogs can cover a lot of
ground and one needs to watch them careful. |
|

| Roy Terry handled Johnny's Rockin' Ricky (English Setter)
for Eric Erickson. Terry Erickson scouted for Roy. All the
setters from the Erickson's can run and are animated on
the ground. |
|
|

| Jerry Lewis (on foot) and Roy try to determine the location
of Johnny's Rockin' Ricky. Once the tracking insturment
is used the dog is out of contention. However, their only
concern is finding the setter. |
|

| Another view of Roy using a tracking instrument. The use
of telemetry in field trials has greatly reduced the loss
of bird dogs, as in this case. |
