After lunch we again ran derby bird dogs. Mazie Davis with judge Roy Epp. The small leather pouch on Mazie's saddle contained her recorder for accurate accounting of the field events.

Sean Kelly riding one of his many horses. Sean is a tall individual and any horse he rides seems too small. Sean is wonderful person who lives nearby and trains with Torben Hansen.

A break away is an awesome sight with brace mates running all out, much like a 100 meter yard dash in the Olympics. However, the dogs don't stop at 100 meters but continues during the trials duration. A fit and well conditioned bird dog runs just as fast from begining to the end of the event.

Rich Robertson, providing water to his setter while Clyde Queen collars the dog to be released again. Rich has been doing well in field trials as indicated by his presence in the American Field National Championship for several years now.

Lori Steinshower, Mike McGinnis and Jessica converse during a short break in the running. Lori owns the multiple Champion Red Rock Shadow.

Sheldon Twer gives water to his thristy Pointer. Sheldon comes prepared to win in any trial he enters.
