Another view of Jerry Lewis' horse and myself. Even though the horse looks quite small compared to others in the trial, don't let its size fool you as it was quick of foot, walked faster and smoother than other horsesr.

Sheldon Twer refills his container just before running his dogs. Sheldon ran two derby Pointers that were in contention for the title derby dog of the year.

Clyde Queen with Jim Fenny sharing a laugh and a smile for the camera. Both Clyde and Jim go back about 30 years and are still very good friends.

Clyde Queen can still ride with the best of trialiers. He rode his horse like it was a part of him. Although he did not run any dogs in the trials he helped by scouting and helping out where ever he could.

I took this opportunity to have a picture taken of Clyde and myself. Clyde is a friendly gentleman and had many stories of the years past and bird dogs. In the background is Sal's trialer that Jim Fenny and his son Andrew stripped and repainted. They also placed UplandBirdDog.com on both sides. You can also make it out just above the door.

Like old friends, Jerry Lewis, Sam Madamba, Clyde Queen and Jim Fenny share a good laugh. It's pretty amazing how quickly field trial people meet and in no time become friends. This was taken during the lunch break of the derby trial.
