The handlers are just coming into view.
Note the huge hills in the background. Keeping bird dogs
on course is difficult as there are many ridges and steep
canyon where native birds are located. In fact, it was
the last weekend for quail and we saw several hunters
in the area. However, the hunters did not influence the
trial.

Sheldon Twer attempts to flush out a quail
his Pointer scented. Judge Paul Wells watch the activities.
The intense Pointer is confident it has located a bird.
Just moments later a bird is seen flying and Sheldon shoots
his blank gun. The Pointer maintains its style even as
the bird lands in the distance.

Another
scene with handlers, judges and part of the gallery are
riding in the early morning. The weather was cool with
a slight breeze making scenting condition good for bird
dogs. Most dogs had multiple finds with proper bird work.
