2002-2003 Schedule

REGION 11 is a member of The Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America (AFTCA). Region 11 consist of various bird dog clubs in California and Nevada. The bird dog clubs participates in horse back and walking field trials both wild and released birds. For field trial events see the 2003- 2004 schedule

Winners of the 2002 Western Open All-Age Championship! Nicky McGinnis holds Just in Time (owned by Bruce and Carol Hummel of Snohomish, WA). Just in Time recently won the National Chukar Championship in Washington state. Rich Robertson with Spectra Sam (owned by Herb Anderson of Dayton, OR) placed second. Spectra Sam also won the recent All-Age Pacific Coast Championship and ran in the 2002 National Championship at Ames Plantation. Some notables and long time trialiers and supporters of Region 11 and other field trials include, Paul Brock, Sheldon Twer, Dr. Charles Hjerpe, David Taylor, Mike McGinnis, Torben Hansen, Paul and Wanda Wells, Jim Fenny, Sal Satallante, Eric and Mardelle Mauck, Mazie and Colvin Davis as well as others. The Western field trial was sponsored by the Bay Area Bird Dog Club and Purina.
