is proud to present and host AFTCA Region 11. |

REGION
11 is a member of The Amateur Field Trial Clubs of America (AFTCA).
Region 11 consist of various bird dog clubs in California and Nevada.
The bird dog clubs participates in horse back and walking field
trials both wild and released birds. For field trial events
see the 2002- 2003 schedule.
The 2002-2003
Region 11 officers are Jeff
Gilberston (President), Jerry
Erickson (Vice President), Ron
Pray (Secretary/Treasurer) and Torben
Hansen (Trustee).
Hal
Meyer is a veterinarian in Kingsburg, California. He
works with large animals in his practice and owns a small animal
clinic. Hal is a graduate of the University of Kansas and came to
the west coast to join a veterinarian practice in the 1960's.
Hal has
campaigned field trial dogs since coming to California. With his
partner, Leon Ferguson, he has campaigned several successful dogs
under the kennel name "Skidrow". He has had dogs run in
the national at Ames Plantation and currently runs the setter, Lt.
Dan, with Richie Robertson. Hal is a "setter man" who
has contributed to Region 11 by being the president of the Fat Toad
Bird Dog Club and of the Fresno Bird Dog Club, which stage three
sets of trials each year, including the California Bird Dog Championship.
Hal is a stalwart fixture in the Region 11 community. |
