Dean Lord, in collaboration with Jay Wolfe, are accepting bird dogs for gun dog training. Dean Lord is one of the premier handlers and trainers of bird dogs. His field trial accomplishments are outstanding. Dean’s hard work and dedication to bird dogs have resulted in numerous American Field Championships. These Championships were won with various bird dogs and breeds.

Jay Wolfe is foremost, a bird hunter and a walking shooting dog trainer. Jay has been bird dog training for over a decade. He understands the needs and wants of fellow bird hunters.

Dean and Jay's training program consists of starting young dogs on recall quail using Johnny Houses and pigeons. This is a great way to introduce young dog to birds and to guns. The training takes place in Texas, from December though March. The next step is training dogs, mostly on wild birds, in their North Dakota camp. North Dakota is where Jay Wolfe lives and has access to abundant training grounds with wild birds. Dogs are used to hunt wild birds during the hunting season (Sept-Nov).
