Lou
Gleber was born and raised on a dairy farm in Louisiana
(USA). As a young man he joined the Air Force and served his
country for 21 years. After retiring from the service, Lou turned
to his first love, bird dogs. In 1983, Lou started training
various bird dogs for hunting and field trials. He is a complete
trainer, taking puppies and turning them into finished stylish
bird dogs. To accomplish his goals, Lou uses two kennel locations.
In the summer months, he moves his operation to Arnett, Oklahoma.
The rest of the year, Lou is at home in Loranger, Louisiana.
His other training grounds are located in Texas, Oklahoma, and
in Alabama.

everyday kennel operations. All dogs under their care receive
complete attention. Lou has trained for various events such
as NSTRA, ABHA, NBHA, shooting dog and All Age field trials.
Dogs that Lou has trained have won a total of seven National
titles with their amateur owners handling the dogs.

Lou is often requested to judge various field trials because of
his knowledge of bird dogs and his impartial judgment. Several
field trials he has judged include; National Amateur Quail Championship,
Southern Championship, Arizona Amateur Shooting Dog Championship,
California Shooting and All Age Championship, South Dakota, German
Shorthair All Age, the National Shooting Dog Championship and
NBHA National Amateur Championship.
