Bill's New Training Camp in the White Mountains of Arizona
(see more; page 1, 2, and 3)

A closer view of the Johnny Houses that house Bobwhite quail and chukars, both great training birds because they recall well. After several weeks of training birds to recall to their Johnny House, birds are simply released before working dogs. Chukars are hardy birds compared to Bobwhites and are stronger flyers. The open space in front of the Johnny Houses is a wonderful area to work dogs. For more information on Johnny House, please see Dog Camp.

Setting up camp is hard work especially at 9000 ft elevation. A period of acclimation is needed and ample rest is required before working at full speed. With the help of Bill's many friends, he was able to get his camp up and going.
