| The weather was cold and misty with slight rain. I
wore my rain gear while riding Dan. The inclement weather
didn't hinder our efforts to run dogs. Bird dogs seem
to run better under these weather conditions. |

I want to say thank you to Bill and Claudene West, Bill and
Tamara Gibbons, Paul Wells, Virgil, Jim and Donna Folks and
everyone else in Camp for sharing and making my experiences
enjoyable. I also want to acknowledge my appreciation to Jere
Korthanke and Lee West for providing a wonderful and guiding
influence during our rides. Special thanks to Lee who allowed
me to ride his favorite horse, Dan, a Missouri Foxtrotter. Jere
mentioned that Lee doesn't allow just anyone to ride Dan. Lou
and Linda Gleber for opening their camp and making me feel at
home.

Sage is barely seen in the mist and tall vegetation. She
is just left of the 2nd power line poll. During our many
outings she re-acquianted herself with running the country,
as shown here on the East side of Camp. She spent most
of her 1st year growing up in Camp. |

Sage makes a cast in the shinney and wide open spaces
of the ranch. Sage is the white speck just right of center
and left of the shinnery bush. In open country a bird
dog needs to extend its range to find birds. |

Jere rides to camp from the West. The
metal fencing of the dog kennels are just left of center.
Lee's trailer and Bill West's old trailer are seen in
the background.
